Rhino Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Project Manager on behalf of a client to deliver a diverse portfolio of strategic business projects on time, within scope, and on budget across the next 18 months.

With plenty of flexibility, you can work remotely with no set office attendance expectation other than to work from their Cardiff City Centre Head Office when the work or teams require it. There may be some travel, if necessary, in the role and they’re happy to discuss further at interview how their flexibility options can come into play for you.

The Project Manager Job

Acting as the central driving force across their organisation, you’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources, and build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. From initial inception to final delivery, you’ll ensure their projects meet the highest standards while proactively managing risks, budgets, and evolving scopes.

You can expect to manage multiple projects around their retail estate, buildings, and strategic change when it comes to streamlined processes and systems.

To do well in this role you’ll have all the Project Manager essentials:

  • Proven Track Record: Solid experience leading project teams and delivering diverse projects through the full lifecycle (concept to execution).
  • Delivery & Budgeting: A history of hitting deadlines, managing scopes, and monitoring project budgets and financial limits.
  • Methodologies & Tools: Strong knowledge of delivery frameworks and hands-on experience. You can use tools such as Gantt Charts, Kanban/Scrum Boards, Trello, or MS Project and have the right level of IT skills for the job.
  • Exceptional Communication: Clear, inclusive, and adaptable communication skills to engage with diverse groups at all organisational levels.
  • Strategic Planning: Excellent organisation and planning skills to define milestones, handle shifting priorities, and manage a variety of work.
  • Problem Solving & Agility: A proactive approach to risk, the ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve conflicts under pressure, and manage change effectively.
  • Stakeholder Focus: Outstanding relationship-building skills to collaborate smoothly with cross-functional teams, departments, and customers.
  • Desirable qualification: Relevant project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 or a recognised APM qualification
  • Desirable sector experience: Worked or volunteered in the Third Sector and/or health environment
