Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team for the construction supervision of five newbuild transhipment shuttle vessels (TSVs) at a shipyard in China. You are to ensure the smooth functioning of the Site Office and the safe delivery of the new vessel design and build program, working closely with major national and international partners from contract award and initial design through to construction, testing, monitoring, commissioning, delivery & acceptance in order to ensure compliance with newbuilding specifications, schedule, budget and quality standards.
Responsibilities:

Site Supervisor Supervision:
• Engages with the Client Site Manager and the Shipyard to set up the Inspection plan and monitors the execution of assigned tasks according all the contractual requirements.
• Oversees the delivery of inspections within allocated disciplines. Tracking, follow-up and review of the status of assigned open construction issues, non-conformances, remarks and defects.
• Supervise all matters relating to steel production, steel fabrication, paint and sub decking application including, with specific knowledge of, but not limited to welding, grinding, Surface & steel preparation, fairing, NDT, X-ray and ultra sound verification, dimensional verification, hull markings, tanks, IWS , insulation, cross flooding, structural integrity and technical outfitting, dry film thickness, hull coatings including antifouling, , ensuring that all aspects of the aforementioned sections, structures, spaces, systems, items are inspected, verified and functionally tested (if applicable) to meet the requirements of the specification and defined design parameters and contractual requirements.
• Ensures that all the equipment and systems are safe to operate and installed with reasonable access for future maintenance and repair, and in particular that the equipment and systems are installed according to the manufacturers recommended planned maintenance and installation procedures.
• Ensures full familiarisation of the team with the contents of the ship specification, the agreed and approved drawings, the agreed shipbuilding standards, the agreed testing and commissioning protocols, all Notes of Meetings between the Operating Company or Classification Society and the shipyard, and all correspondence between the interested parties. Accountable for ensuring that any changes required by the Operating Company or Classification Society are verified and supervised for their implementation on board.
