…The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has estimated that the industry requires an additional 250,000 workers over the next four years.
As part of its annual Migration Survey, the organisation found that 41% of construction employers will be focused on increasing the skills of British workers as access to immigrant falls rapidly as a result of Brexit.
Close to a third (30%) say they will provide more permanent job contacts to Brits. Close to a quarter (24%) will increase minimum salaries, and 16% will look to take on more local apprentices. Overall, a huge 250,000 jobs are expected to be advertised.
