Digital Report Writer – Drainage & Water Claims

Location: Preston (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £26,541 + Discretionary Annual Bonus
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Mon–Fri, 40 hours/week)

Our client is a leading provider of nationwide drainage investigation and repair services, specialising in drainage mapping, CCTV surveying, and 24/7 emergency response. Working with major UK insurers, they deliver expert validation and technical support on drainage and watermain claims, combining cutting-edge software with industry best practices.

The Role:
They are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Digital Validator/Report Writer to join their dynamic underground services team. In this key role, you will validate CCTV drainage reports, interpret technical data, and produce detailed documentation for insurance claims in line with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and validate CCTV drainage and water supply reports (Wincan).

  • Produce structured, complex technical reports for insurance clients.

  • Apply pricing in line with client-specific schedules of rates.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to field staff.

  • Communicate findings with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure all reports comply with WRC best practices and relevant regulations.

  • Collaborate with the wider team to resolve technical queries and deliver excellent customer service.

About You:

  • Prior experience writing drainage or water supply reports (minimum 2 years preferred).

  • Strong understanding of Wincan reporting and drainage standards.

  • Familiar with relevant regulations and WRC best practices.

  • Technically confident, with the ability to guide engineers remotely.

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

  • Proficient with IT platforms and able to handle inbound/outbound calls.

  • Customer care experience and a proactive approach to service delivery.
