IT Helpdesk Engineer – Full-Time
Based in Maidstone, Kent (95% onsite, occasional local travel – company van provided)
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Are you a proactive and upbeat IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for an IT Helpdesk Engineer to provide first-line support to construction workers, handling high-volume calls and escalating complex issues to second-line and supervisory teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support, assisting with hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Handle high-volume inbound calls from on-site construction workers, offering quick and effective solutions.
- Log and manage helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Escalate unresolved issues to second-line and supervisory teams as required.
- Travel occasionally to a local site (2 miles away) – company vans available.
- Support and maintain IT systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
What We're Looking For:
- A positive and energetic approach to customer service and IT support.
- Previous experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role.
- Ability to work across a rotating shift pattern:
- 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- (Open to candidates available for only one shift.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows-based systems.
- A team player with excellent communication skills.
