Job Title: Maintenance Manager (Solar Background)

Overview: The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance operations of solar energy installations, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety across all sites. This role requires a strong background in solar technology, leadership in managing maintenance teams, and the capability to coordinate a network of contractors to deliver high-quality service and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance department, including internal staff and a network of contractors.
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for solar installations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and best practices to optimise equipment reliability and performance.
- Manage contracts and relationships with third-party service providers and contractors.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime.
- Prepare maintenance reports, budgets, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with project management and operations teams to ensure seamless communication and project alignment.
- Drive initiatives for cost reduction, energy efficiency, and process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent experience would be highly beneficial
- Proven experience (5+ years) in maintenance management, with a focus on solar energy systems.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, electrical installations, and grid connectivity.
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification is highly desirable.
- Project Management Certification (PMP) is an advantage.
