Service Operations Manager – Full-Time
Location: Field/Home Based (travel to Walsall and Preston) Salary: £45,000 base + £6,000 car allowance + mileage + bonus scheme

Requirements:
- Applications accepted from UK Mainland only
- IOSH Managing Health and Safety (mandatory)
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the drainage and water supply industry
- Minimum 5 years managing a remote workforce
- Proven expertise in site-based operational decision-making
- Full working knowledge of Eviid Pro and its application to underground service operations
- Deep knowledge of off-mains systems and all relevant regulations
- Strong understanding of building and environmental regulations
- Skilled in investigation and repair of drainage and water supply systems (domestic and commercial)
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers through direct labour operations
- Report to the Head of Operations
- Be a point of contact for field staff and sub-contractors
- Oversee daily job scheduling, compliance, and first-time resolution targets
- Train and audit both direct labour and sub-contractor networks
- Monitor vehicle and equipment compliance with H&S standards
- Ensure accurate timesheet approval and productive overtime
- Maintain and order tools, materials, PPE and equipment
- Travel to sites to support training, audits, and resolve complaints
- Participate in the on-call duty manager rota (1 week in every 5)
- Manage budgetary targets for field teams and direct labour performance
