2019: A Year in Review

2019 has been a significant year for the RhinoRecruitment.com brand. From expanding into new markets and strengthening its position in the industry to award wins, events and high-profile sponsorships, to say we have been busy is a pretty huge understatement.

Below, we take a look at the top highlights of the year, giving an insight into what we have been working on.

Manufacturing Recruitment

In October, RhinoRecruitment.com launched a Manufacturing division to the agency.

Headed up by Angela Archer, former Director of Burns Manufacturing Services, this venture has gotten off to a flying start. Based in Abercynon, the Manufacturing team has already grown significantly. Having expanded into Temporary recruitment through the recruitment of top talent, the Manufacturing team are now working with some of the country’s leading Manufacturing brands and professionals.

Talking at the launch, Angela said:

"These are hugely exciting times for us, with this new business allowing us to expand our recruitment offering, further support existing clients while facilitating new businesses not only in Wales, but across the country. At a time in which the UK manufacturing industry is in such a time of flux, ensuring the industry has access to the right candidates is vital to secure its future”.

IT Recruitment

Earlier in the year, RhinoRecruitment.com joined forces with Mohammed Alamgir; a seasoned IT recruitment specialist, launching RhinoRecruitment.com;’s IT recruitment arm.

Specialising in Software Development, Testing, Cyber Security, Project Delivery, Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps recruitment, the department is highly in-demand across the UK, having supported hundreds of businesses in its first few months in operation.

‘After building a very powerful and successful career in IT Recruitment it was only natural that I would eventually focus my expertise and personal network into my own recruitment consultancy. But, partnering with RhinoRecruitment.com has meant I can be a part of something bigger, making use of their intelligent back-office systems, Labour Managers, the national brand value and of course the Rhino team’s experience and knowledge of running a successful, national recruitment firm’ Says Co-Owner, Mohammed Alamgir.

Mo and the team have combated the traditional startup woes most new companies experience, starting its first three months of trading on the front foot.

Having already formed partnerships and built talent pools in Wales, the Midlands, the North West and Scotland, Rhino IT has gotten off to a flying start. This saw Mohammed bring Basil on board; another experienced recruiter who is doing great things for the company's clients and candidates.

Rhino Commercial

Adding another string to its bow, RhinoRecruitment.com also developed a Commercial department. At the helm of this team is Harry Driscoll; former Director of Prince Resourcing. Bringing his many years of knowledge, experience and clients with him, Harry is now facilitating a huge number of startups, SMES and established businesses.

“I am delighted to have merged Prince Resourcing into the Rhino Group. Having discussed the opportunity at length, it was a no-brainer. Rhino Commercial specialises in recruiting for sales, HR, Marketing and Financial services on both contract, interim and permanent basis. I am excited and looking forward to what 2020 holds for Rhino Commercial and the Rhino Group” Driscoll says.

The decision to branch out comes after a rise in demand for skilled staff, with many of RhinoRecruitment.com’s clients requesting the team’s support when needing employees in various departments.

Office expansion

Due to the rapid expansion of the brand and its team, RhinoRecruitment.com took the decision to invest in increased office space, now boasting a number of offices in Cardiff and Abercynon.

Sponsorships

As you will know from our social media pages, we are hugely passionate about our various sponsorships, eager to support grassroots sport in and around the UK.  This includes a number of professional boxers; all of which have experienced significant years in their careers. From Joe Cordina’s classy victory over Enrico Tinoco to land WBA Continental title in Monaco to Liams Williams ruthlessly disposing of Frenchman Karim Achour to take the WBC Silver title at the O2 in London in July, the Welsh boxing scene has been explosive this year.

In addition to Joe Cordina and Liam Williams, we have also been proud to sponsor Sean Mcgoldrick and JJ Evans, helping them achieve their goals and ambitions.

Aside from boxing, we have  continued our partnerships with a variety of cricket teams as well as BMX racing team, Psykopath Industries.

Work in the community

This year, we were thrilled to be a part of the SOHK (School of Hard Knocks) initiative; an initiative that uses sports to tackle unemployment, crime and poor health. Working with adults to help them find sustained employment, this project has been a true labour of love for 2019 and we look forward to further supporting the organisation in 2020.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Recapping the year, Andrew Roberts, Owner of the Group, says:

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of RhinoRecruitment.com’s staff members, clients and candidates and hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 2019 has been an incredible year of expansion for us and we look forward to sharing more exciting news with you next year”.
