Is Job Satisfaction More Important Than Salary?

According to new data, job satisfaction is incredibly high-up on our proprieties, with UK workers needing to be happy and fulfilled by their role in order to remain in it for the long haul. This research project asked workers what they define ‘career success’ as. The top five responses are as follows:  

• Enjoying what you do – 83.6% 

• Being proud of what you’ve achieved – 73.8% 

• Doing a job that makes a real difference to people’s lives – 57.1% 

• Working for a company you love – 54.2% 

• Earning a high salary – 42.4% 

Showing how our work means much more to us than money, this data painted a picture of what employees want when searhing for vacancies. Allowing recruiters to adapt and create roles that people actually want, these findings will certainly have opened employers’ eyes.
