Air Technician – Reading – Full-time – £28,000–£32,000 per year
Rhino Recruitment is seeking a full-time Air Technician to join an established team, supporting specialist air hygiene and water treatment services across the South East.
About the Role You'll carry out a range of ventilation and air hygiene tasks on high-security and commercial sites. No previous industry experience is necessary as full training is provided, but a willingness to learn and travel is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fire damper testing and inspections
- Install duct access doors
- Clean and disinfect ventilation systems (TR19 & COSHH compliant)
- Perform kitchen extract cleaning (TR19 & COSHH compliant)
- Maintain and treat Air Handling Units (AHUs)
- Complete corrosion treatments
- Maintain site records including job sheets, timesheets, and expenses
What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable with working at height and in confined spaces
- Good communication skills and a proactive work ethic
- Willingness to travel across the South of England and stay away when required
- Strong Health & Safety awareness
- Advantageous: experience in air or water hygiene, commercial cleaning, construction, or maintenance
Hours & Benefits
- 38.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Typical site hours: 8am–4.15pm (Mon–Thurs), 8am–4pm (Fri)
- Working hours may vary; schedules provided weekly in advance
- Company van and fuel card provided
