Customer Service Operative – Full-time, Permanent
Location: Preston (Hybrid after 4-week in-person training)
Salary: £15.97/hour (temp) rising to £26,550/year (permanent)
Help customers manage complex home insurance claims — delivering real solutions with empathy and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience handling customer calls
- Organised, with great attention to detail
- Able to manage challenging situations calmly
- Familiarity with internal IT systems
- Claims handling experience is a bonus
- Based in the UK mainland
Responsibilities:
- End-to-end insurance claim management
- Liaise with homeowners, insurers, loss adjusters, and contractors
- Arrange repairs, investigations, and enabling works
- Handle specialist claims involving drainage/watermains
- Apply for road opening licences, building regulations, and new connections
- Maintain accurate records and manage cost tracking
- Prepare claims for invoicing and ensure timely closure
- Provide complaint resolution where needed
