Rhino Recruitment are recruiting Blasters for a long term role that is available in Plymouth, with an immediate start available for the right candidates.
The work will involve internal and external blasting on submarines during maintenance, repair, and new build projects.

Location: Plymouth
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 10 hours per day
Duration: Up to 2 years
Rates (Umbrella)
- Monday – Thursday (07:30–16:15): £22.00 per hour
- Overtime 1: £28.00 per hour
- Friday (07:30–13:30): £22.00 per hour
- Overtime 1 applies for remaining hours worked
- Saturday: £28.00 per hour
- Sunday: £35.00 per hour
Accommodation uplift available for non-local candidates.
Requirements
- Previous experience in industrial blasting and surface preparation
- Valid blasting qualification/certification (e.g. ICATS, Train the Painter, OPITO, or equivalent industrial blasting certification)
- Experience with grit blasting, shot blasting, or abrasive blasting techniques
- Valid DBS check
- Employment reference(s) demonstrating previous blasting experience
- Ability to work safely within confined spaces and industrial environments
- Own basic PPE (additional PPE will be provided on site)
