Rhino Recruitment is looking for experienced Fit-Out Carpenters to work on luxury yachts at a marine facility on the South East Coast.
You'll complete the installation and final fitting of bespoke yacht interiors. The work requires a high level of accuracy, care and attention to detail.
Location: South East Coast
Pay: Negotiable, depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, plus overtime
Contract: Up to three months at a time
Accommodation: Can be provided
Duties:
- Installing bespoke interior joinery within luxury yachts
- Fitting wood, plywood, vinyl, leather and soft-furnishing materials
- Scribing components to irregular and complex shapes
- Working with lacquered finishes, Avonite and other pre-finished surfaces
- Reading design drawings and technical specifications
- Completing final fit and finish work to exact tolerances
- Identifying and correcting defects
- Working closely with team leaders and other trades
- Meeting production targets without compromising quality
Requirements:
- Carpentry, joinery, yacht fit-out, shopfitting, kitchen fitting or high-end interior experience
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Experience working with high-quality materials and finished surfaces
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Own hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
Marine or yacht experience would be highly beneficial. Applications are also welcome from skilled Shopfitters, Joiners and Kitchen Fitters with experience working to a high standard.
These contracts can run for up to three months at a time, with 40 hours per week and overtime available. Accommodation can be provided for candidates working away from home.
