Rhino Recruitment are hiring a CNC Setter and Operator to join a leading precision engineering company based in Bristol.

Position Details

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Salary: £27,000 – £32,000 per annum, depending on experience (inclusive of shift allowance)
  • Annual Leave: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Location:  Bristol 
  • Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern (Alternating):

  • Late Shift: Monday to Thursday, 12:30pm – 11:00pm
  • Early Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:30am – 2:00pm

They are now looking to bring an experienced CNC Setter/Operator into their production team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing, running, and maintaining CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality aluminium components. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid mechanical background and proven CNC experience to join a well-established and forward-thinking company.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring precise execution of programmes and specifications.
  • Experienced and proficient in 3-axis VM20i & 5 axis VMX30Ui CNC Hurco Mills.
  • Ability to work Independently, machining aluminium critical parts to a tolerance of 0.2
  • Managing tools and sets up, Read Technical drawings, Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Have a keen eye for detail , good engineering hygiene. Reliable and punctual.
  • Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
  • Handle materials efficiently, including loading raw materials and managing tooling changes.
  • Conduct basic measurements and inspections using Aberlink CMM to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with other related tasks as required within the workshop environment.

Desirable:

Aberlink CMM programming experience
Fusion 360 CAD CAM Programming
