Drainage Unblock & Lining Engineer - Taunton

£16-£18 per hour (Negotiable Depending on Experience) - 3 Month Temporary Probation Period - Full Time Permanent

Rhino Recruitment are hiring experienced and dependable engineers to carry out drainage unblocking, CCTV surveys, and no-dig drain lining repairs across domestic, commercial, and industrial sites. This is a hands-on role focused on fault diagnosis, effective repairs, and delivering excellent service to customers on site.

Pay: £16-£18 per hour (Although can be negotiated depending on experience).
Contract: Temp-Perm (12-Week Temporary period acting as Probation).

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to call-outs for blocked drains, toilets, and sewers

  • Use high-pressure water jetting to clear blockages

  • Carry out CCTV drainage surveys and identify faults

  • Install patch lining and full-length drain lining systems

  • Prepare pipework for lining, including cleaning and descaling

  • Identify defects such as cracks, root ingress, and collapses

  • Explain findings and solutions clearly to customers

  • Complete job reports, photos, and required documentation

  • Follow health & safety procedures and industry standards

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of drainage systems and repair methods
  • Experience with jetting equipment and CCTV inspections

  • Proven drain lining installation experience (UV, felt, or patch)

  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable with physical work and confined spaces when needed

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Able to work under pressure and attend emergency call-outs


Requirements:

  • Experience in drainage unblocking and lining (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence

  • Confined Space certification (desirable)

  • NADC or similar drainage qualifications (preferred)

  • Health & Safety training such as CSCS or IOSH (desirable)
