Contract: Self-Employed, 6 Months
We’re seeking an experienced Erection Steel Erector Foreman to lead on-site structural steel erection for a major project near Dartford. This is a 6-month self-employed contract, focused on delivering safe and accurate installation of primary and secondary steelwork.
You’ll take responsibility for coordinating erection crews, overseeing lifting operations, and ensuring works progress in line with drawings and programme.
Scope of Work

Supervise steel erection teams during installation of structural frames

Coordinate lifts with crane operators, riggers and appointed persons

Read and interpret erection drawings and method statements

Ensure correct alignment, levelling and bolting of steelwork

Maintain safe systems of work at height

Deliver toolbox talks and monitor site safety compliance

Report progress and issues to site management
Requirements

Proven experience in structural steel erection and team supervision

Strong understanding of lifting operations and working at height

SSSTS or SMSTS preferred

Relevant CSCS card and steel erection qualifications
-
Confident reading technical and GA drawings
-
UTR and right to work in the UK
