Rhino Recruitment are currently hiring a qualified Fabricator for ongoing work in Avonmouth, South West England, supporting projects within the ship repair and refurbishment sector.
This role will involve a mixture of workshop and site/dock-based work, assisting with the maintenance, repair, and structural refurbishment of a range of marine vessels.
Typical duties may include:

Fabricating and fitting steel structures, brackets, frames, and supports for marine vessels

Repairing or replacing damaged ship structures, including bulkheads, decks, and plating

Measuring, marking out, cutting, and assembling metal components to specification

Working from engineering drawings and technical plans

Assisting with structural modifications and refits during ship repair projects

Collaborating with welders and other trades to ensure accurate installation and structural integrity
Rate: £27.50 per hour
Hours: 10 hours per day, Monday–Friday (weekend work available where applicable)
Duration: Ongoing work – minimum 4 months
Requirements:

Time served Fabricator or NVQ (or equivalent) qualification

Shipbuilding or ship repair experience preferred

Strong skilled fabrication experience

Ability to read and work from technical drawings

Own welding screen and safety boots (all other PPE and tools provided)
