Fire Alarm Engineer – Caerphilly – Full-time – £31,500–£37,000
Rhino Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join an established team in Caerphilly. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary between £31,500 and £37,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced fire alarm professional to work across a variety of systems while contributing to life safety and compliance standards across the South West and Wales region.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, maintain, and repair fire alarms, fire suppression systems, emergency lighting, and Nursecall systems.
- Ensure compliance with BS5839 Pt 1:2017, BS5266, and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Deliver all work in line with UK fire safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Carry out reactive maintenance and respond to service callouts.
- Provide system surveys and prepare client quotations.
- Accurately record all site activities using digital tools (training provided).
- Work independently across regional sites, supported by the Head Office team.
- Collaborate with internal departments and meet set performance targets.
Requirements
Essential:
- Interest in fire safety systems and UK compliance standards.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Desirable:
- Working towards or completed BS7671 – NVQ Level 3.
- Experience managing your own workload and schedule.
- Professional, punctual, and committed to quality service delivery.
