Rhino Recruitment is looking for experienced GRP Finishers to work on luxury yachts at a marine production facility on the South East Coast.
You’ll be responsible for preparing and finishing GRP components to the high visual and quality standards expected within luxury yacht manufacturing.
Duties:
- Trimming, sanding and polishing GRP components
- Using different grades of sandpaper to achieve the required finish
- Removing excess material and cutting components to specification
- Using hand tools, air tools and mechanical cutting equipment
- Applying polishing techniques to produce a high-quality surface
- Inspecting components and identifying defects
- Supporting quality control checks
- Following health and safety procedures
- Working with the wider production team to meet yacht build schedules
Requirements:
- At least two years’ experience in a finishing role
- Experience in GRP finishing, sanding, trimming, polishing or surface preparation
- Confidence using hand tools, air tools and mechanical cutting equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to produce a consistent, high-quality finish
- Good understanding of manufacturing health and safety
- Reliable and professional approach to work
Experience in yacht building, boat building, marine manufacturing or automotive body repair would be highly beneficial.
Contracts can run for up to three months at a time, with 40 hours per week and overtime available. Accommodation can be provided for candidates working away from home.
