Job Title: Lifting Supervisor
Location: Near Dartford
Contract: Self-Employed, 6 Months
We’re appointing an experienced Lifting Supervisor to oversee crane and lifting operations on a major structural steel project near Dartford. This is a 6-month self-employed contract, leading lifting activities in line with programme and safety requirements.
You’ll take control of day-to-day lifting operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved lifting plans.
Scope of Work

Supervise all lifting operations on site

Brief slingers, crane operators and rigging teams prior to lifts

Ensure lifting plans and RAMS are understood and followed

Establish and monitor exclusion zones

Check lifting accessories and certifications

Stop works where unsafe practices are identified

Liaise with site management to coordinate lifting schedules
Requirements

Valid CPCS Lifting Supervisor qualification

Strong experience on structural steel or heavy construction projects

Sound understanding of LOLER and lifting regulations

Confident leading teams in high-risk environments

Strong communication and decision-making skills

UTR and right to work in the UK
