Job Title: Marine Mechanical Fitter – Vessel Based

We’re looking for an experienced Marine Mechanical Fitter to join a vessel-based team working on the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of marine mechanical systems. This role suits someone who enjoys practical work, problem solving, and operating in a marine environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repairs on marine engines, pumps, hydraulics, and associated mechanical systems

• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently

• Assist with planned maintenance and refit activities onboard

• Ensure all work meets safety and marine engineering standards

• Support the engineering team during vessel operations and maintenance periods

Requirements

• Proven experience as a mechanical fitter, ideally within marine, offshore, or heavy engineering environments

• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills

• Ability to work onboard a vessel and as part of a close-knit engineering team

• Relevant mechanical engineering or marine engineering qualifications preferred
