Job Title: Pre-Assembly Steel Erector Foreman
Location: Near Dartford
Contract: Self-Employed, 6 Months
We’re appointing an experienced Pre-Assembly Steel Erector Foreman to lead a team on a major structural steel project near Dartford. This is a 6-month self-employed contract with responsibility for overseeing pre-assembly works prior to main erection.
You’ll supervise steel operatives during ground-level and low-level assembly, ensuring works are completed safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements.
Scope of Work

Lead and coordinate pre-assembly of structural steel components

Supervise erection teams and allocate daily tasks

Interpret drawings and method statements to guide works

Ensure correct alignment, bolting and preparation before lifting

Work closely with lifting teams and site management

Maintain high safety standards and deliver regular toolbox talks

Monitor quality and report progress to site leadership
Requirements

Strong background in structural steel erection and supervision

Proven experience leading teams on heavy steel projects

SSSTS or SMSTS preferred

Relevant CSCS card and steel erection certifications

Confident reading technical drawings
-
UTR and right to work in the UK
