Job Title: Senior Estimator – Cladding & Roofing

About the Role
Rhino Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established and growing contractor within the cladding and roofing sector. Our client delivers high-quality façade, roofing, and envelope solutions across commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team and play a key role in securing new business and supporting project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for cladding and roofing projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Conduct detailed take-offs and quantify materials, labour, and subcontract requirements
- Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams including design, commercial, and operations
- Attend pre- and post-tender meetings with clients and stakeholders
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry contacts
- Monitor market trends, material costs, and industry developments
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator within cladding, roofing, or building envelope sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, roofing systems, and construction processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and commercial skills
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines
Desirable
- Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects
- Knowledge of current building regulations and industry standards
