Rhino Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Civils Site Manager to join a large-scale construction project in Pontypridd, South Wales.
The project involves the construction of a new medical facility as an extension to an existing hospital. The footings have already been completed, with an established team currently working on site.
This is a long-term opportunity expected to run for approximately 3–4 years, offering stability for the right candidate.
Rate: £340-£350 per day
Start: ASAP (Pending Interview availability)
Duration: 3-4 Years
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the civils works on site
- Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and trades
- Ensure works are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards
- Monitor progress against the programme and report any issues or delays
- Coordinate materials, plant and deliveries to ensure the project runs efficiently
- Carry out regular site inspections and ensure health & safety procedures are followed
- Liaise with the Project Manager, contractors and other site personnel
- Review drawings, specifications and method statements to ensure works are completed correctly
- Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and relevant documentation
- Manage and resolve any issues that arise during the works
- Ensure all site activities comply with relevant legislation, RAMS and company procedures
Requirements
- Valid SMSTS
- NVQ in Site Management
- Strong civils background and previous Site Management experience – essential
- Valid 3-Day First Aid at Work
- Fire Marshal certification
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proven ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively
This is a long-term position on a major healthcare construction project, with an established workforce already in place. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day site activities and helping to deliver the project over the next 3–4 years.
