Site Manager (Civils) - Pontypridd

Rhino Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Civils Site Manager to join a large-scale construction project in Pontypridd, South Wales.

The project involves the construction of a new medical facility as an extension to an existing hospital. The footings have already been completed, with an established team currently working on site.

This is a long-term opportunity expected to run for approximately 3–4 years, offering stability for the right candidate.

Rate: £340-£350 per day
Start: ASAP (Pending Interview availability)
Duration: 3-4 Years

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the civils works on site
  • Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and trades
  • Ensure works are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards
  • Monitor progress against the programme and report any issues or delays
  • Coordinate materials, plant and deliveries to ensure the project runs efficiently
  • Carry out regular site inspections and ensure health & safety procedures are followed
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, contractors and other site personnel
  • Review drawings, specifications and method statements to ensure works are completed correctly
  • Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and relevant documentation
  • Manage and resolve any issues that arise during the works
  • Ensure all site activities comply with relevant legislation, RAMS and company procedures

 

Requirements

  • Valid SMSTS
  • NVQ in Site Management
  • Strong civils background and previous Site Management experience – essential
  • Valid 3-Day First Aid at Work
  • Fire Marshal certification
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively

This is a long-term position on a major healthcare construction project, with an established workforce already in place. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day site activities and helping to deliver the project over the next 3–4 years.
