We are seeking experienced Painter/Blasters for a vessel project in dry dock at Davenport, Royal Dockyard. The role involves preparing and coating both external hull surfaces and internal tank structures.
Pay Rates:
- £22.00 per hour – First 8 hours per day (Monday to Friday)
- £28.00 per hour – Overtime after 8 hours (Monday to Friday) – OTA
- £28.00 per hour – Saturday – OTA
- £35.00 per hour – Sunday – OTB
Hours:
- Minimum 70 hours per week
- Monday to Friday with weekend work available
Key Responsibilities:
- Abrasive blasting to remove corrosion and existing coatings
- Surface preparation to specified standards
- Application of protective coating systems using spray or manual methods
- Working on external hulls and internal tank structures
- Working safely in confined spaces and at height while following strict safety procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Painter/Blaster within marine, shipyard, or heavy industrial environments
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at height
- BPSS clearance or ability to successfully pass BPSS (processed by the client)
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
