Job Title: Bricklaying Supervisor (SSSTS)

Rate: £DOE – 15 weeks – digs provided if required
Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Bricklaying Supervisor to oversee site operations, manage trades, and ensure work is delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard. This role suits someone who has come through the tools and understands bricklaying works inside out, with the ability to lead from the front.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate bricklaying teams on site
- Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
- Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and daily task planning
- Monitor quality of work and address any issues promptly
- Liaise with site management, contractors, and other trades
- Keep accurate records of progress, labour, and site activities
- Ensure materials and resources are effectively managed
Requirements
- Proven background in bricklaying, with supervisory experience
- Valid SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) qualification
- Valid Gold CSCS Card (Skilled Worker – Bricklaying)
- Enhanced DBS Check (essential)
- Strong understanding of construction health and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and site plans
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, organised, and able to manage teams under pressure
